Why Join MWT Board:
MWT operates from its headquarters in Washington State, USA, with a regional office in Port Vila, Vanuatu, and active chapters spanning Fiji, Solomon Islands, Papua New Guinea, Kanaky New Caledonia, and the broader Melanesian Pacific diaspora. Through these strategic hubs, we work hand in hand with local communities to co-create and implement impactful programs that uplift Indigenous knowledge, foster sustainable development, and drive meaningful systemic change.
By joining the MWT Board, you become an integral part of a movement dedicated to empowering Pacific Islander women and girls as leaders and changemakers in their communities. Your contributions will directly support initiatives that address critical issues such as education, health, entrepreneurship, and climate action, ensuring that women and girls across Melanesia have the tools, opportunities, and support they need to thrive.
As a board member, you will shape the direction of MWT's programs and policies, advocate for gender equality, and strengthen efforts to preserve and honor the rich cultural heritage of the Melanesian region. Your leadership and expertise will help amplify the voices of women and girls, creating lasting impacts not only in the Pacific but also across the globe, as we work together to build a more inclusive and equitable future for all.
